CLEMMONS — Spend the afternoon enjoying the beautiful work of more than 60 local artists at the upcoming Juried Community Art Show and Sale, part of the Bingham Arts Series. The series is a program of the Shallow Ford Foundation, underwritten by the Thad and Mary Bingham Community Fund.

The Art Show and Sale is in partnership with the Muddy River Art Association. The free event will be Sunday, March 17, from 3-5:30 p.m. at the Historic Broyhill.

More than 60 original works will be on display in the main room (Magnolia Room) and throughout the adjoining hallways with an opportunity for attendees to pick the People’s Choice Award. In addition, 20 of the featured artists will have pieces available for purchase. The categories are painting, wood and pottery. The theme of the show is “A Vibrant Community” reflecting the goal of the Bingham Arts Series.

Lee Watson, president of the Muddy River Art Association, encourages the community to attend saying, “The artists have been busy painting, throwing pottery and carving wood. What a show this will be. Now it’s time for the community to show up and do their part by voting for a winner in the people’s choice category. Come join us for a fun afternoon in celebration of our vibrant community.”

The event is open to the public. Doors open at 3 p.m. Voting for the People’s Choice award ends at 4:30 p.m. and all awards will be announced at 5 p.m. Historic Broyhill is located at 3540 Clemmons Road in Clemmons,
