CLEMMONS — The village of Clemmons has multiple ways for residents to recycle various household items and reduce their carbon footprint throughout the month.

The first, Green Zone, helps to redirect the clothing and textile waste that would not otherwise be able to be donated. The Green Zone bin will be available in the back parking lot of Village Hall until May 1. Village Hall is located at 3715 Clemmons Road.

Green Zone accepts clothing, shoes, and other household textiles, including towels, sheets, belts, purses, etc., in the DropZones.

Any clothing or household textile can be recycled as long as it is washed and dry, not moldy and not contaminated with a solvent-type liquid, such as gasoline.

Pillows, comforters, fabric scraps and foam mattresses or pads will not be accepted.
