Judith Holliday Malpass

Judith Holliday Malpass, 82, went home to be with the Lord on March 29, 2024. She was born Jan. 30, 1942, to the late Obie and Catherine Holliday in Montgomery, W. Va. She lived in that area for 10 years then lived in Florida for 29 years. She was employed in banking, real estate and medical office work. She was a member of Yadkin Valley Baptist Church in Advance. Things she loved were her Savior, Jesus Christ; spending time with her precious family; and church family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald G. Malpass. Survivors include her son Robert Alan Smith II (Vicky), granddaughters, Sheena Goode (Justin) and Erika Carlin (Josh); great-grandchildren Brody and Brooke Goode, and Chloe and Sydney Carlin; sister, Betty Jean Stanaland (Bill) of Blairsville, Georgia; one niece and one nephew and their families. Judy will be buried next to her husband at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Yadkinville. There will be a graveside service officiated by Ronnie Craddock at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 5, 2024, for her family and friends. Frank Vogler & Sons of Clemmons is assisting the family.

Nancy Boner Parnell

Nancy Boner Parnell, 91, passed away at home on March 26, 2024. She was born on July 21, 1932, to Blanche Mullican Boner and Burton Thomas Boner Sr. in Forsyth County. Nancy was a lifelong member of Boyer’s Chapel Church of Christ. She graduated from Clemmons High School and worked at Western Electric. There, she made many lasting friendships. Nancy enjoyed working around her home, and doing yardwork while she was able. She will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Fletcher Parnell. Surviving are her brother, Burton T. Boner Jr.; niece, Jennifer Shelton (Steve); nephew, Brent T. Boner; great-niece and great-nephew, Ava and Owen Shelton who loved Nancy as a grandmother; and other extended family. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Boyer’s Chapel Church of Christ Cemetery on S. Peacehaven Road. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice or Boyer’s Chapel Cemetery Fund.
