Already becoming a local favorite throughout Winston-Salem, Clemmons and the Triad area, The Struggle Bus is opening its second mobile unit.
With coffee being a classic conversation piece, from the beginning, the owners of The Struggle Bus, Zachary Williams and Harry Neal, wanted to create an experience with each sip.
Their operation opened in 2021 with a desire to build a culture of community and outreach by making top of the line and creative drinks. Soon both their wives, Chelsea and Mary Beth, got in on the action, infusing their own ideas into the process of crafting drink recipes. Now, along with the four of them, The Struggle Bus has added a mentor, John, and his wife Kelly to expand into new areas of the Triad.
The baristas enjoy bringing a bold but smooth taste to every latte, mocha or classic drip coffee. They bring quality to simple lattes all the way to their impressive line of Topless Drink Specials — drinks made so well it will knock your top off… on the drink that is.
These special-crafted recipes with variations of syrups and then topped with sweet cream made to order. It all started with the Banana Split Mocha and Apple Pie Macchiato and has transformed into monthly specials at The Struggle Bus.
The founders are families of faith, devoted to a message that while coffee is the vehicle, what’s important are the people.
“No matter what anyone does, what’s most important is Jesus,” Neal said in a release. “The Struggle Bus isn’t a Christian business. It just happens to be ran by Jesus followers. The mission is simple: Make an amazing cup of coffee, love people and representing the Kingdom of God. You don’t just get a smile when experiencing The Struggle Bus, you get people who care about you and coffee.”
The Struggle Bus weekly sets up at the Clemmons Farmer’s Market and can be booked for local events for businesses, private parties, and weddings. The Clemmons Farmers Market is located at 1150 South Peace Haven Road, Clemmons. It runs from 8:30-11:30 a.m. every Saturday of the season.
