CLEMMONS — Registration is now open for the 2025 Juried Community Art Show & Sale, a collaborative effort between the Muddy River Art Association and the Shallow Ford Foundation, part of the Bingham Arts Series.
Following the fantastic feedback and turnout from last year, the Shallow Ford Foundation is excited to partner again with the Muddy River Art Association and bring another Juried Community Art Show and Sale to the Clemmons community.
A reception for the public will be held on March 16, 2025, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Artwork will be showcased in the Magnolia Room and throughout the hallways at the Historic Broyhill. This year, the judging will be conducted by Kimberly Varnadoe, a seasoned artist and curator with more than 30 years of experience in creating and evaluating artwork across various mediums.
In addition to awarding first, second and third place, there will be four honorable mentions, a People’s Choice award, a Shallow Ford Foundation Board of Directors choice award, and a Muddy River Art Association choice award. An art sale will feature pieces available for purchase from several of the participating artists. Local artists are invited to register and submit their artwork online for consideration. Whether you’re an artist eager to share your work or an art lover looking to explore and purchase unique pieces, the 2025 Juried Community Art Show & Sale promises an enriching experience for everyone involved.
Artists can enter a variety of mediums, including painting, pastel, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, glass, photography, fiber arts, original hand-pulled prints, jewelry, weaving, basketry, marquetry, wood and mixed media. The entry fee is $30 for up to two submissions. Sale tables can be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis for a fee of $15. The deadline for entry is Jan. 31, 2025. Teresa Everhart, president of the Muddy River Art Association, shared her excitement for the event.
“We are thrilled to once again showcase the incredible talent of our local artists,” she said. “This event is a wonderful way for artists to share their work while fostering connections within our community. We look forward to seeing new and familiar faces and continue the tradition of celebrating creativity.”
