Give-a-Kid-a-Coat Drive
• Jan. 3 – Feb. 7
You may drop off a coat from Jan. 3 through Feb. 7 at the Lewisville Branch Library and it will be taken to A Cleaner World. A Cleaner World will make minor repairs, clean the coats and then send them to The Salvation Army for distribution to those in need.

Get Ready to Yeti
• Saturday, Jan. 14, starting at 11 a.m.

Child programs

Family Storytime
• Tuesdays at 10 a.m.
Join in for stories, fingerplays, songs, and activities designed for small children. Recommended for children ages 18 months-5 years old and their caregivers, but all ages are welcome. Family Storytime will meet on Tuesdays at 10 a.m.

Winter Photo Booth
• Jan. 1-31
During the month of January, stop by the Lewisville Branch and get silly with the winter photo booth. Wintery props will be available to make your photos unique.

Teen programs

Lewisville-Clemmons Teen Advisory Board Meeting
• Tuesday, Jan. 10, at 5 p.m.
• Lewisville Branch
The Lewisville-Clemmons Branch Teen Advisory Board is made up of teen volunteers from the Lewisville and Clemmons area. The board meets once a month, alternating between the Lewisville and Clemmons branches and we meet on the second Tuesday (during the school year) each month to discuss ways to improve both branches. The Teen Advisory Board helps to plan programs, create displays and suggests resources that the library should purchase. Yoga for Beginners (in-person and virtual)
• Thursday, Jan. 5 and 19, at noon

Join in at the Lewisville Branch auditorium or from home for two free yoga sessions to help uplift your mind and body during this stressful time. The class is facilitated by a local yoga instructor Tracy O’Neill of YogaCentrix. Sponsored by the Friends of the Lewisville Library. Call 336-703-2940 for more information.

Belly Dancing for Beginnings

Get your shimmy on! Learn the basic moves of this beautiful dance form as people of all ages come together to promote health, happiness and community. Lewisville Historical Society Presents …

In partnership with the Lewisville Branch, the Lewisville Historical Society will present bimonthly to the community on topics ranging from local history to information about historical sites to antiquities. Participants do not need to be members of the society to attend. Free and open to the public. Creating Family Recipe Books
• Tuesday, Jan. 10, at 2 p.m.
Take a new approach to family history by documenting your family’s recipes. You could gather them for family gifts, incorporate them into a family history or even start a blog. Grace May, special collections librarian from the North Carolina Collection, will be at the Lewisville Branch to show you how to start your project, provide examples of family recipe books, and talk about the variety of recipes that can be included and how to preserve them. Time for a Great Getaway Series – make summer travel plans now

Join in as local travel agent Gale Adouli shares her travel expertise in this fourth session that focuses on the advantages of planning far in advance. Join this class to learn from Betty Ann Faulkner, a long-time gardener and the owner of SereneScapes Gardens, who will teach about the secrets of successful growth, what blooms and many other interesting facts.
