The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a suspect in connection with a bank robbery that occurred on November 8, in Buncombe County at the Asheville Savings Bank. The FCSO Investigative Services Division had been working with Asheville Police Department Detectives in attempting to locate Carlyle.

On December 18, the suspect, Jonathan Mark Carlyle, 37, of 1695 Hauser Rd. Lot 14, Lewisville, came to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office with his wife on an unrelated matter. During the course of their interaction with Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office officials, Carlyle was taken into custody without incident based on the Warrant for Arrest for Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon. Asheville Police Department Detectives came to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office whereby they assumed custody of Mr. Carlyle and transported him back to Buncombe County.
