The season of autumn and the fifth week of school began for the Titans on Monday, Sept. 23. A recent poll of students shows that the Titans are gearing up for fall and are most ready for pumpkin spice to return, the cool weather, and even job opportunities.

“I’m super excited to be working at a haunted trail this fall,” senior Evan Souza said.

Many students are ready to break out sweaters, hoodies and leggings, while others are eager to take part in fall festivities such as the fair, corn mazes, and much more.

“(I’m excited to go) to pumpkin patches and bonfires with friends,” senior Isabella Rinehart said.

The varsity football team will enjoy a break this week after defeating the Mount Tabor Spartans with a final score of 28-0. Next week, the Titans will be taking on Page High School on Page’s turf on Oct. 4. Along with football, athletic teams such as boys varsity soccer, girls varsity field hockey, and girls varsity volleyball have all had overall winning seasons so far. Keep it up Titans!

This coming Monday, Sept. 30, the Benton Convention Center in Winston-Salem will be hosting the WSFCS College Fair where dozens of colleges from around the country will be making an appearance from 5-8 p.m. At West, Elon University will be stopping by to talk to students. This private liberal arts school will be visiting in the Media Center from 8:15-8:50 a.m.

So grab your sweaters (the green and gold ones, of course) and your pumpkin spice lattes, because the Titans are ready to take on the season!
