Local residents earn degrees from WGU

SALT LAKE CITY — The following local residents have earned their degree from Western Governors University (WGU). The online, nonprofit university held its 71st (Cincinnati, Ohio); 72nd (Anaheim, California); 73rd (Salt Lake City, Utah); and 74th (Seattle, Washington) commencement ceremonies in the spring and summer of this year to celebrate the recent graduation of more than 10,000 students from across the country.

• Brian Hege, of Clemmons, earned a bachelor’s in cybersecurity and information assurance

• Theresa Hudson, of Clemmons, earned a bachelor’s in nursing

• Marshall Williams, of Pfafftown, earned a bachelor’s in business management

The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi inducts new members

BATON ROUGE, LA — Matthew Meadors, of Lewisville and a student at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.
